The English school in Cork was established in 2011 in Cork’s city centre. It is located in the oldest quarter of Cork city, opposite the word famous St. Finbarre’s cathedral. It enjoys a tranquil setting which is ideal for language learning. The school is one of Cork’s oldest buildings. It was refurbished to house 13 bright, modern classrooms, computer room and outdoor patio area.

Study English in Cork

Situated on the south coast of Ireland, Cork is the second largest in the country with 190,000 inhabitants. Much of the city center is located on an island in the River Lee. The river flows south of the city to Cork Harbour, one of the largest natural harbours in the world.

All families have been carefully selected and visited. The homes are located in residential areas (you have to take public transport every day to go to the center) and were chosen based on their friendly atmosphere, good food and clean and comfortable environment. In your family there will not be other students in your same language, forcing you to always speak in English. 

  • Free Transfer: Your family will meet you at the airport, from 10:00 to 23:00 during the weekend. 
  • If you reserve the family option with ensuite, the family will take you to the center every morning.

Getting to Cork

The Cork International Airport is one of the main airports in Ireland. It is located less than 10 minutes from the city center (8 km).

From Cork Airport to the city

  • Buses: If you arrive at Cork airport, you can catch a bus to the city center. A bus leaves every 25 minutes. The journey time is 20 minutes.
  • Taxis from 15 € to the center of Cork.

From Dublin Airport to the city

If you arrive at Dublin airport you can get to Cork by Bus or train:

  • By Bus: on leaving the airport you will take a bus to Cork. The price on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday is 12 € and 18 € return. Tuesday and Wednesday the price is 10 € and 15 € return. The duration is approximately 4 hours, with the company 'Bus Eireann'. Visit: http://www.buseireann.ie for schedules and fares.
  • By train: From Dublin Airport you can take a bus to the train station, and from there take a train with Irish Rail. The journey time is about 3 hours. The first train leaves Dublin at 7.00 and the last at 21.00.
