Frankfurt

Academic centre in Frankfurt

Our German school in Frankfurt was founded in 1970, and has more than 35 years of experience in German teaching. It is located in Sachsenhausen, considered the most beautiful neighbourhood in all of Frankfurt, which isn´t surprising if we take into account that unfortunately it was destroyed in the war and has a priviliged location on the hills of the Main. The majority of the museums in the city are located along the promenade on the East of the river, and the landscape of the banks seems more like a beach with its palm trees, sand and volleyball pitches.

The quality standards of our school have been supervised for years by EAQUALS (European Association for the quality in teaching languages). Since 1979, it has been a member of FIYTO, ALTO (Association of organisations of trips for studying languages) and of FaDaF (Specialised association in German as a foreign language).

Study German in Frankfurt

Frankfurt is the financial centre of the country and is in the hills of the River Main, so it is also known as "Mainhattan". It has nearly 100 skyscrapers, the majority of which are banks or office buildings that show the economic prosperity of the city.

It is a wealthy and elegant business city. Full of enormous skyscapers that simulate an America in the middle of Europe. But underneath its spectacular skyline are countless theatres, museums, art galleries and clubs. You will also have the opportunity to dance in Moon13, the excocoon club known worldwide, many fans come from Berlin, London and Paris just to be there.

Frankfurt is more international and open than any other Germany city. This is perhaps due to the more than 50 million passangers that flow through the airport every year or for the visitors of the more than 40 fairs. It could also be due to the international people that have moved here (28% of the Frankfurt citizens aren´t German). These 170,000 new inhabitants come from 180 different countries. In the summer, when the streets are full of groups from different places and caravans decorated in the Parade of Cultures, you will realise the multiculturalism of this city.

Also, one of the main attractions is the Frankfurt book fair, the biggest in the world, that dates back to the 15th century, and since then the popularity has steadily increased. But Frankfurt also has some outstanding cultural aspects, for example, being the hometown of the famous Goeth. If so many visits and cultural activites make you put on a little weight, it is always a good idea to have a cider, a speciality in Frankfurt in one of its many taverns.
